Kuznetsova breezes into round three at Aussie Open

The 21-year-old Kuznetsova, a quarterfinalist in 2005 in Melbourne and the runner-up at the 2006 French Open, has lost just five games over her first two matches at this year's Aussie Open. The Russian is trying to continue her amazing resurgence from 2006, which saw her reach the quarterfinals or better in 17 of 22 events.

Kuznetsova, the 2004 U.S. Open winner, needed just one hour to win her match Wednesday.

In one other second-round match Wednesday, 11th-seeded Serbian Jelena Jankovic cruised past Spaniard Virginia Ruano Pascual, 6-2, 6-2.

Eighth seed Patty Schnyder and No. 15 seed Daniela Hantuchova were first-round victors. Schnyder, of Switzerland, topped American Madison Brengle, 6-3, 6-4, and Hantuchova, of Slovakia, beat France's Alize Cornet, 6-4, 6-1.

American Idol Betting Odds: Season 6  

The online gambling websites are in the process of deciphering each American Idol contestant and his or her chances of winning Season 6 to come up with the early American Idol betting lines.

A talented beat-boxer Blake Lewis was a hit during the group sing in Hollywood but Simon explained that this is a singing contest just before he told him he was “in.”
