02/17/2007 - Jakarta, Indonesia (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Frankie Minoza of the Philippines held a one-shot lead when the third round of the Indonesia Open was suspended Saturday due to inclement weather.
Minoza was five-under par through 17 holes in his third round and eight-under overall when play was halted ahead of an approaching storm. He will have a 15- foot par putt at No. 18 when the round resumes Sunday morning at 7:10 a.m. local time (7:10 p.m. ET).
"It's just part of the game. I'm not frustrated," Minoza commented on the postponement. "I hit a lot of good shots today and have taken a lot of confidence from my win at the Philippines Open two weeks ago."
Korea's Jong-Yul Suk and Finland's Mikko Ilonen were one shot off the pace at seven-under when the horn sounded. Suk was two-under through 15 holes of his third round, while Ilonen, one of two second round co-leaders, was just one- over through 14 holes.
Australia's Andrew Tampion, the other second round co-leader, was three-over through 14 holes and had fallen to five-under par overall to stand fourth.
Shiv Kapur of India and Tony Carolan of Australia held the clubhouse lead at four-under-par 209. Kapur shot a two-under 69 and Carolan had a four-under 67 in the third round.
Four other players were on the course at four-under when play was suspended.
Minoza's only bogey so far in the third round came at the par-three 12th, and he surrounded it with back-to-back birdies on each side. He was cruising through his round until an uncontrolled tee shot at the par-four 18th landed in bushes on the right side of the fairway.
From there, Minoza pitched back onto the fairway and then knocked his third shot within 15 feet of the hole. But the horn sounded before he had a chance to make his par.
Though he is a two-time champion at the Indonesia Open, Minoza's victories came in 1986 and 1990 before the tournament was part of the European Tour schedule.
If he hangs on Sunday, the 47 year old would become the seventh-oldest champion in European Tour history -- and its first Filipino winner.
"Winning on the European Tour would be a dream come true for me," Minoza admitted.
When play resumes Sunday morning, 27 players will be left to finish their rounds. More thunderstorms are forecast for the area.

Super Bowl XLIII isn't even a week old yet and oddsmakers have already released Super Bowl XLIV odds.
Despite the Pittsburgh Steelers winning Super Bowl 43, the New England Patriots are 8/1 favorites to win Super Bowl 44.
Bet Super Bowl XLIV Future Odds
With their 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII, the Steelers became the latest NFL champion. But believe it or not, oddsmakers from online sports book MySportsbook.com don't have the Steelers the favorites to win Super Bowl XLIV next season.
That honor belongs to the New England Patriots, who are 8/1 favorites to win despite not even qualify for the postseason in 2008. The Pats also have a major decision to make regarding what to do with Matt Cassel, who played well in Tom Brady's (knee surgery) absence last year but is also a free agent this offseason.
Ironically, the Steelers aren't even oddsmakers second choice to win Super Bowl 44, as the Dallas Cowboys are listed right behind the Patriots at 9/1 despite not making the playoffs themselves. Clearly oddsmakers think the public will hop back on the Cowboys' bandwagon considering the immense talent they have and the opening of a brand new stadium.
After Dallas, then comes Pittsburgh at 10/1, but they share those odds with the New York Giants, who won Super Bowl XLII. The Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers round out the top six teams at 12/1, while the Baltimore Ravens (14/1), Tennessee Titans (16/1), Carolina Panthers (18/1) and Philadelphia Eagles (18/1) complete the top 10.
The NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals got no love from oddsmakers as they were established as a 30/1 long shot to win next year's Super Bowl. They share those same odds with the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers – two teams that didn't even qualify for the postseason. Other long shots are the Kansas City Chiefs (100/1), Detroit Lions (100/1), St. Louis Rams (75/1) and Oakland Raiders (75/1).
